Dies ist Ral Partha's Armoured Dragon. Modelliert von Tom Meier. Er ist einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsdrachenmodelle. Dieses Modell ist mein 3ter jemals bemalter Drachen und daher schon ein wenig älter.
Ich habe ihn damals etwas in Scene gesetzt, damit er aussah wie auf dem Bild auf seiner Verpackung.
Die Trense habe ich aus Draht und Milliput und die Zügel aus sekundenkleberverstärktem Papier dazugebastelt. Der Geifer des Drachen ist aus 2-Komponenten Epoxid Kleber. Für die Lanzenstange war ursprünglich ein Stück viel zu dünner Federstahl enthalten. Also ersetzte ich diesen Federstahl durch ein etwas dickeres Stück graden Kupferdraht. Der Wimpel ist auch wieder aus verstärktem Papier. Die Felsen habe ich aus Schlackestücken zusammengeklebt und die Zwischenräume mit Schotter aufgefüllt. Die Pilze sind dann noch aus Milliput modelliert worden und die sonstige Begrünung ist wieder feiner Schotter.
Das Modell ist schon ein wenig älter, heute würde ich besser aussehendes Grünzeug verwenden.

This is Ral Partha's Armoured Dragon. Sculpted by Tom Meier. One of my all time favorite Dragons. It is my 3rd ever painted dragon, so it is allready a bit older.
Back then I added a few things to match the box cover art. The bit was made of wire and milliput and the rains are made of paper soaked with cyanoacrylate glue to stiffen them. The venom is two part epoxy glue. For the lance pole originally a length of (too) thin steel rod was included. So I replaced it with some thicker straightened copper wire and the pennant is again made out of simple paper. The rock is made of slag, glued together with two part epoxy and gaps are filled with small gravel. The mushrooms are sculpted from milliput and the rest of the foliage ist gravel again.
The modell is now a bit older and today I would probably use better stuff for the groundworks.
